For as long as I can remember, I have been a huge movie/television buff. My family has always been the same way. We would go to the movies like once a week and was the type of family that would sit around the TV after dinner to watch our favorite sitcoms. I would even watch Adam Sandler movies 2 or 3 times in a day. It was great. My sister and I use to joke around that our reality was a FRIENDS episode, because that’s how much we watched it.

Skip to now – Nothing has changed. Well, I guess I don’t technically have the “time” to watch a lot of the movies and shows that I’d love to see, but even if its at 3am, I’ll sneak in my fair share of Netflix or HBO GO shows to make sure I’m not missing out on too much of my favorite escapism.

Since the January relaunch of our company, Dro-tein, I’ve not only been able to be on set of some of my favorite shows, but also, I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of the current movie and tv stars of today. It has been an incredible experience, to say the least. A life long dream is more fitting.

The best thing hasn’t been that I can take a selfie or grab an autograph (does anyone even ask for autographs anymore?). Nope, it’s that I’m talking about and serving smoothies containing our CBD Supplement.

You heard that right! They’re trying CBD!

But, wait…Isn’t CBD illegal and getting them high before they go back to work?

We are happy to say that both are false. CBD is a non-psychoactive component of an industrial hemp plant (in our case, at least) and was removed from the definition of what is illegal per the Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2013.

So, now, you too can enjoy great-tasting CBD smoothies that are “celebrity approved” 🙂

See below for the smoothie recipe we used for Ballers!

This Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie was a big hit with the cast and crew of Ballers. They loved it so much, I was invited back to serve this recipe twice!

Ballers is a TV show on HBO and HBO GO. They just wrapped up filming for season 4, so be on the lookout for it this summer!
